With all of these smartwatches, Apple releases a new watch with new technology. Let's get familiar with it together.   Peace be upon you all. This is your host, Faisal Alsaif. Apple Watch Series 5 comes with new developments. I made an article about the differences between this series and the older series. It is available on the website. The new series comes with an Always-On display. The screen frequency drops to 1Hz per second. This means the screen refreshes 1 time per second. This means that the watch will consume less battery and it will be always on. You'll notice the difference when you're training, driving, or in a meeting. You won't have to raise your hand for the watch to turn on and know the time. Old generation users know what I am talking about Apple Pay is one of the most important technologies with Apple watches here in KSA. Most banks are supported. It is very easy to pay for using your watch. You'll also enjoy other Apple Wallet services, and these services are supported in this watch. I blame Apple that they only supported these services in Series 5 Apple Watch. These services are not supported in the first, second, third, and fourth generations. Only in series 5. 

Apple was late for this technology to be adopted in their watches. We expected them to implement it in older generations. It is only supported in this new watch. If you just bought the 2018 series 4 generations, but then Apple releases a new watch with come with lots of features It comes with different finishes, always-on display, better battery, ECG which I will talk about later, The new Apple Watch catalog don't include the series 4. Apple did this to make the price difference between the Series 5 and Series 3 bigger, which means more profit for them. This is an evil move from Apple, yet, Apple has always been doing this. But this time, there were clear about it when they only decided to sell Series 5 and Series 3. Series 3 costs 200 USD. The price difference between Series 3 and 5 is big giving you extra features to choose from. But when comparing the Series 4 and Series 5, there is not much difference except for the screen. For those who have Series 4, I think the best solution for them is to wait for Series 6 which will be launched in 2020. 

The series 5 is excellent for new adopters or those who have Series 3 and older. There is a difference between these generations. If you care about these differences such as ECG, Noise app, you can download these apps on your phone. But in this series, Apple added it to the watch. Before you think about the eSIM, it is not yet available in KSA, but I hope it will be coming soon. FaceTime calls are a little bit better, other than that, there are no huge differences. These are the specs of the Series 4 and these are the specs of the Series 5. There are minimal differences. You won't notice the difference. If you haven't used one before, this could be a great option for you. It is also a great option if you upgrade from Series 3 or older generation. Series 5 is a great watch. From experience, I learned to buy Apple Care or use a protective cover with the watch. A protective cover is great for me to protect it from scratches as I move and travel a lot. Out of all of these watches in front of me, one only has an original Apple Watch band. The rest have third party bands. Changing the band could give the watch a different look. It is also great for Health whether with Nike version or the regular version. Your health will benefit if you follow the Activity App suggestions. It is not logical to buy the Apple Watch and not use the health apps that come with it. There are other versions like Nike and Hermes come with different accessories and bands.
